AWESCO Summer School
7th - 14th June 2016, University of Limerick, Ireland

We have welcomed international AWESCO Early Stage Researchers, Associate Researchers* and International Experts, including AWESCO Principal Investigators; to the first AWESCO Summer School. The School was be hosted at the University of Limerick from Tuesday 7th June to Tuesday 14th June 2016 and was organised by the Mobile & Marine Robotics Research Centre (MMRRC).
The Summer School was a great source of knowledge, comprising of a series of tutorials, demonstrations and expert lectures in a variety of fields linked to Airborne Wind Energy (AWE). The main topic areas included:
- ▸ Flight Mechanics and Flight Stability
- ▸ State Estimation
- ▸ Interconnection of multiple wind energy devices
- ▸ Renewables in the energy mix & grid modelling
- ▸ Technical writing for engineers
