Jakub Osmic is an associate professor of Control Systems, Instrumentation and Actuators for Automation of Manufacturing at Faculty of Electrical Engineering - University of Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the moment, the focus of his research is Control Systems for Wind Energy Conversion Systems.
From 1995 to 1997 Jakub worked with the TMD-AI CIMOS – Factory for production of parts for automotive industry, as engineer for maintenance of CNC machines. From 1997 to 2003 he worked with the University Clinical Center, Tuzla as engineer for maintenance of medical equipment and as physicists for radiotherapy, and since 2003 Jakub has been with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He received the diploma engineer degree in Electrical Engineering in 1996 from the University of Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Jakub earned his MSc degree from the University of Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2003, with the master thesis dealing with Design of an Optimal Fuzzy Logic Controller Using Response Surface Methodology (experimental methodology). He earned his PhD degree from the same university, with the thesis dealing with Stability, Optimality and Robustness of Fuzzy Logic Controllers in 2008.
Jakub has over 40 publications in the refereed conference proceedings and journals, he is also the author and coauthor of two books from the field of automatic control. Jakub was taking part in or leading a number of research and development projects funded by the governmental and nongovernmental bodies (government scientific funds of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, EU, and multinational companies).
